Business Resources

Enfield is determined to meet the challenge of building a strong economy for the next
generation. This determination is evident in the Enfield approach to economic
development. The Town assigns an account executive to work with local companies
to expand and to new companies planning to locate in Enfield.

The account executive serves as the principal point of contact for a business and is
a valuable resource who can:

° Provide demographic and market information
° Assist in identifying real estate for business expansion
° Provide information on financing and incentive programs
° Serve as a liason to federal and state government and regional agencies
° Connect businesses with training, education and workforce development services
° Provide personal assistance throughout the public approval process.

Our commitment to working with public and private partners, in two states,
allows us to multiply our capabilities and service to growing companies.
This strategy gets results.

Case History - The Martin Brower Company

The Martin Brower Company is a division of Reyes Holdings LLC. In May 2001 the company met with Enfield officials to discuss their expansion plans. They would either add 52,000 square feet to an existing 50,000 square feet in Enfield or consolidate elsewhere. After discussions with State and Townofficials, the company decided on Enfield.

They began construction in January 2002 and have added 70 new jobs. The project has an estimated $14.3 million impact on the local economy.

This Enfield expansion project was selected as the 2002 Team Connecticut Project Award, which recognizes successful projects that significantly impact
the local economy.
